Dr. Alex Ghazal
Endodontist

Dr. Ghazal graduated dental school with honors in 1994. He received both the Achievement Award in Endodontics from the AAE and the Academy of General Dentistry's Outstanding Student Achievement Award.

Upon completion of dental school, Alex practiced as a successful General Dentist in private practice for six years. His interest in root canals promoted him to pursue a specialty degree in Endodontics (root canal specialty).

 

Following six years of private practice, Dr.Ghazal attended The University of Florida Department of Endodontics where he graduated in 2002. Dr.Ghazal completed a research project on the "Cleaning Efficacy of two Endodontic Systems" and was fortunate enough to present his findings at the FNDC. Alex's training at the University of Florida Department of Endodontics was exceptional using state of the art equipment, techniques and being microscope trained.

 

Dr. Ghazal is currently a member of the American Association of Endodontics, The Florida Association of Endodontics, The American Dental Association and The Lake County Dental Association.

 

As an Endodontist, he is very detail oriented and works efficiently and professionally. His compassion and excellent communication skills will make you feel quickly at ease and in good hands.

 

Alex is the proud father of three boys. On his days out of the office, he enjoys spending quality time with his kids. He also enjoys playing tennis, racquetball, riding his motorcycle and traveling to discover new experiences, new foods and cultures. Alex had also the pleasure to travel and volunteer as a dentist with his son Liam to serve underprivileged areas.

Dr. Lara Bachour
Endodontist

Dr. Lara Bachour received her Doctor of Dental Surgery certificate, DDS, in 1995 and her master's in Endodontics in 2000. She practiced as an Endodontist for 13 years in Syria, Lebanon, and UAE. In 2013 she moved to the United States, passed all the board exams, and joined Rutgers, a school of dental medicine in New Jersey where she earned her degree as a Doctor of Medicine in dentistry, DMD. Immediately after, she continued her education and earned her certificate in Endodontics as well as her Master's in Dental Science, MDS, from the same school. While at Rutgers, she completed comprehensive training in Implant Dentistry by the American Academy of implant dentistry.

 

Her research interest includes regenerative procedures and their application in the fields of Endodontics. Recently, she presented the result of her research titled “The activity of Schwann Cells with Angiogenic gel in Dental-Pulp Regeneration” at the AAE meeting in Phoenix, AZ.

 

Dr. Bachour Joined Dr. Ghazal’s office as a full-time associate to serve the community of The Villages and surrounding areas. She has a great passion for saving teeth by applying her experience, the newest methods, and the highest available technology.

 

She is a board-eligible candidate for the American Board of Endodontics and is currently pursuing her goal to become a Diplomat of the American Board of Endodontics.

Dr. Bachour is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association and American Academy of implant dentistry.

 

Lara is a wife and a mother of two children, during her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and exploring the beautiful state of Florida and beyond. She enjoys listening to classical music, painting on canvas and practicing yoga in outdoor nature.
